Overview

Roles : Technical Trainer / Technical Training Consultant

Locations (multiple roles) : El Paso, TX; Olathe, KS; Appleton, WI; and / or Atlanta, GA

Logistics : On-site (must reside in / near either of the cities listed above).

Travel : 10-25%

Note : Must be authorized to work in the US on an unrestricted basis.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate electrical apprenticeship, QuickStart, and trade-related training classes.
  • Collaborate with Apprenticeship Team to research and recommend content, develop, pilot, and implement new technical and / or trade-related training and development programs.
  • Design and develop technical and / or trade-related curriculum, based on organizational needs.
  • Conduct jobsite or on-site coaching and development of employees (related to audits and / or to assist with novel work or jobs in crisis).
  • Develop relationships with operational leaders.
  • Support and provide guidance to Apprenticeship Coordinator in the coordination of the apprenticeship programs, as needed.
  • Work with L&D team and subject-matter experts to continuously improve the content, activities, and delivery of L&D technical and / or trade-related programs.
  • Continually increases knowledge of L&D craft.
  • Actively participates in professional and trade-related organizations.
  • Demonstrates an acceptance of the company culture (adheres to company values), professional standards, and the ability to model these standards to trainees.
  • Demonstrates approachability and ability to collaborate with others and effectively influence.

Qualifications

  • Education : Completion of an Apprenticeship Program, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience : Strong technical background, 5 years related experience in the electrical, specialty systems, or related trade, and 1 to 2 years facilitation experience.
  • Travel : Up to 25%
  • Work Schedule : Typical work hours are between 6 : 00 a.m. and 6 : 00 p.m. Monday – Friday; however, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency : PC and Microsoft Office Suite; proficient in operation of audiovisual equipment; knowledge of adult educational principles and theory (preferred).

    • Compensation & Benefits

    Compensation : $85k, plus 10% bonus. Great Company Culture. Great Benefits.
