Salary : $85K-$115K, depending upon experience

We currently have a role available for an Expert Small Molecule Purification Chemist.

Job duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Identifying, characterizing and purifying small molecule pharmaceutical compounds using analytical and chromatographic techniques (UPLC, RP-HPLC, SFC, LC-MS, etc.).

Accustomed to purifying samples weighing between milligram - over 100 g samples; completing 50+ samples / wk.

  • This DOES NOT include protein, oligonucleotide and other large molecules.
  • Rapidly developing unique and effective methods on LC and SFC.
  • Extensive experience with SFC and chiral / achiral purification is required.

  • Specifying alternative LC-MS columns / methods for specific projects.
  • Using tools such as KNIME and MNOVA to facilitate and automating the processing and storage of large amounts of data in shared databases.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation as needed.
  • Providing critical feedback to improve workflow and chemistry performance andimplementation of best practices.
  • Job requirements include, but are not limited to :

  • MS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related field with 5+ years of pharma laboratory experience outside of academia / academic research.
  • BS in Chemistry or related field with 8+ years of experience will also be considered.

  • Extensive theoretical knowledge of UPLC, LC, LC-MS required, as well as hands-on experience with Waters and Agilent systems.
  • SME (developer / administrator) with MNOVA and other laboratory software.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
  • Demonstration of excellent team player and collaboration skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.
  • The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinaryenvironment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
