• Providing effective patient care within your scope of practice as a telemetry nurse\n
• Operating EKG machines and related equipment to monitor and record cardiac function\n
• Assisting with stress tests and other diagnostic testing\n
• Conducting emergency care for patients suffering from a cardiac event or other serious medical condition\n
• Administering medications as prescribed and providing nursing interventions in coordination with the clinical team\n
• Analyzing vital signs, test results, and patient histories to determine baselines and abnormalities\n
• Maintaining accurate records of test results, nursing interventions, and patient histories\n
• Communicating with patients and their loved ones about cardiac health and continuity of care\n
• Overseeing nursing assistants, telemetry technicians, and other support staff\n
• Adhering to all facility policies and procedures and complying with current nursing standards of care\n
• Being accountable to follow and adhere to patient care plans\n\nQualifications and Skills\n
• Current Massachusetts state Registered Nurse (RN) license\n
• At least 8 months experience as a Telemetry RN\n
• Successful graduation from an approved nursing program (BSN preferred)\n
• BLS and ACLS training certification (from an approved provider)\n
• Immunizations as needed by facilities\n
• Background check completion\n
