Job Summary
Our organization is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Property Accountant to manage and direct the financial operations for our multifamily assets in Arizona. The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative approach, sharp attention to detail, and advanced expertise in property accounting. This position requires strategic thinking, adept problem-solving abilities, proficiency with evolving technologies, and the capacity to excel within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete accounting cycle for multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations.
- Coordinate and support annual audits by preparing necessary documentation and facilitating auditor interactions.
- Maintain comprehensive financial records with exceptional organizational skills, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Apply thorough knowledge of property accounting standards, principles, and practices.
- Assist in implementing and optimizing technology solutions to enhance accounting processes and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational financial goals and drive operational efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast budgets, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial transactions, including rent rolls, expenditures, and revenue recognition.
- Participate in the development and enforcement of financial policies and procedures to improve performance and reduce risk.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Review and authorize property-related invoices to ensure timely payment.
- Partner with property managers to optimize income generation and control expenses.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry developments and changes in accounting regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required.Proficiency with RealPage Accounting and OneSite highly desirable.Minimum of five years experience in property accounting, specifically with multifamily assets.Demonstrated ability to manage the entire accounting cycle, from transaction entry to financial statement preparation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven record of enhancing financial workflows.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with effectiveness in team environments.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel; experience with property management systems is a plus.Ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure without compromising work quality.Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.Why Join Us
