About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Progressive Care Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience

License : Current RN license

Certifications : Current BLS, Current ACLS

Must-Have :

• EPIC charting experience
• Ability to float to other units including Med / Surg

Description :

The Cardiovascular Unit is a 30 bed unit that provides medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care to admitted patients classified as medium to high acuity.

Patients admitted to the unit are stable but have a high potential of becoming unstable.

They present with a higher complexity and existing co-morbidities, requiring a higher level of nursing care than found on general patient care units.

The patient population served consists of young adults through the geriatric community.

Examples of patients admitted include those with cardiac diagnoses, pre / post cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, acute myocardial infarction, post pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, and CHF, among other disease processes.

The patient to nurse ratio shall not exceed 1 : 4.

Holiday coverage may be required.
