Job Title : AVP of Derivative and OTC Swap Clearing Margin Operations
Location : Jersey City, NJ
Pay Range : $600-700 / day
Job Description :
- Directly interacting with the global client base to manage their margin, cash, and collateral settlements and inquiries.
- Knowledge of the CFTC regulations, NFA, JAC Margin Handbook and CCP rulebooks for FCM clearing operations of settling margin, collateral, and protection customer collateral regulations with a focus on Part 22 LSOC regulations, specifically mutualization of risk.
- Understanding cash wire, securities movements, and related control processes incorporated into the settlement of client and CCP facing margin.
- This also includes monitoring account cash and security balances, reconciling bank transactions, pledging cash and securities on various exchanges, notifying clients of margin obligations, executing client funding transaction requests, monitoring accruals and other interest receivables and payments.
- Working knowledge of FCM operations involvement in the life cycle of execution and clearing activities that result in the calculation of margin requirements.
- Raises issues to the appropriate contacts in a timely manner to ensure all are aware of potential risk while taking ownership of the issue and sees through to resolution.
- Clearly communicates in a group setting, providing a different point of view in a professional manner.
- Consistently delivering exceptional client service to internal and external clients
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree
At least 5 years of experience in the margining of exchange listed products
Knowledge of exchange listed products, derivatives, capital markets trading, operations, execution, or trade processing
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for futures margining with prior experience dealing with both internal and external audit teams
Experience interacting with clients and various lines of business
Experience reconciling separate data points and sources
Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications :
Some technical specifications knowledge across multiple systems and web interfaces
Microsoft Excel macro knowledge
Understanding of collateral transfers
Knowledge of CCP margin calculations
Knowledge of CFTC regulations
