Overview

We’re seeking a technically hands-on Engineering Manager to lead software delivery within a fast-paced consulting firm. Ideal candidates have deep software development experience (preferably in healthcare systems) and are eager to apply technical leadership in a client-facing, strategy-driven context.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor engineers in delivering quality software solutions while remaining technically engaged.
  • Translate business and client requirements into scalable architectures, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
  • Architect, guide, and contribute to hands-on development—from design through deployment.
  • Manage delivery timelines, budgets, resource planning, and project execution within consulting engagements.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, shaping solutions, building credibility, and aligning to client priorities.
  • Champion engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, CI / CD, and architectural rigor.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and effective collaboration.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of software development experience, with multiple years in healthcare engineering environments.
  • A minimum of 3 years in leadership or engineering management, overseeing team delivery.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills in languages such as Java, Go, Python, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver production-grade software systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement—especially in client-centric scenarios.
  • Strategic, adaptable, and comfortable operating in fast-paced consulting environments.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain experience in healthcare—e.g., EMR systems, HIPAA compliance, claims processing.
  • Track record of migrating technical and domain knowledge into client engagements.
  • Experience in consulting or project-based delivery models, adept at proposal-to-delivery transition.
