Security Guard - Logistics Loss Prevention Patrol

As a Security Guard - Logistics Loss Prevention Patrol in Elmsford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to everyone on site. You will play a key part in supporting a caring culture that puts people first, working as part of a reliable and agile team that values integrity and innovation. Pay Rate : $16.92 - $17.92 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time Mon 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Tue 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Wed 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Thur 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Sun 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with access-related inquiries and procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to maintain a secure environment within the logistics and distribution setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support security-related operations and emergency response activities as needed.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
