MID LEVEL STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS

Overview

DRPILLA is seeking a Mid Level Structural Project Engineer to join the structural group in our Nyack, NY office. The candidate will be involved in and complete all phases of structural project development including planning, scheduling, inspection as required, analysis, design and technical specifications and reports. The individual will perform complex building analysis on all design phases, structural modeling, structural calculations, and plan production for a variety of projects including schools, health care centers, higher education facilities, office buildings, industrial buildings, commercial buildings, and residential structures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project plans, design calculations, specifications and lead coordination with other design disciplines to deliver high quality engineering services.
• Attend meetings and site visits with clients as a representative of the firm.
• Lead site investigations to observe and document existing conditions and document structural deficiencies.
• Perform condition assessments, load ratings, schematic designs and prepare written reports to summarize investigation results.
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
• Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.
• Manage project design and deliverables.
