Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. The security assistant shift manager is responsible for supervising and managing staff in the security department.

Essential Responsibilities

• Creates effective and efficient schedules
• Responsible for assisting in the budget process
• Responsible for the overall achievement of departmental customer service goals
• Ensures response to medical emergencies and completes illness / injury reports when necessary
• Promptly reports and remedies any legal / compliance measures
• Develops, enforces, reviews, and approves changes or revisions to operating practices, procedures, and standards based on business practices and internal controls
• Develops and implements alternative methods for Security operation improvement
• Examines and analyzes the physical property, processes, and procedures and develops, institutes, oversees, and enforces emergency policies
• Serves as liaison with gaming regulators, public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies as it relates to Security by maintaining a positive and constructive relationship
• Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of law, regulations, policies, or procedures
• Provides escorts as needed
• Testifies in court when necessary
• Protects and preserves the assets of the company
• Responsible for staff development and training programs
• Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement
• Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees regarding performance
• Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs
• Determines work procedures and expedites workflow
• Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling)
• Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
