Reporting to the SHC Clinic Nurse Supervisor, this LPN position provides exceptional clinical care and compassion to the Mizzou students we serve.

Job Description

This is a Dual Posting linked with Job ID 56204 (Certified Medical Assistant - Student Health Center (MU)) and the department will hire for multiple roles. Final title will depend on the qualifications of the final candidates.

Essential Functions

The Student Health Center LPN provides quality care to patients and works with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest patient satisfaction. The LPN follows all safety, security, and infection control, policies, and procedures. Performs all tasks to ensure the safety of self, patient, and co-workers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Compassionate, Patient-Centered Care : Provide vital healthcare services to Mizzou students, including measuring vital signs, administering medications and immunizations, TB testing and preparing students for examinations. Administer allergy injections (immunotherapy), collaborate with Allergy offices, and coordinate delivery or pick up of antigen. Your role is vital in helping students feel safe, supported, and understood during their visits.
• Collaborate for Comprehensive Care : Work together with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care that addresses both physical and mental health needs. By collaborating with counselors at the Counseling Center, you'll contribute to a holistic, student-focused approach that prioritizes well-being in all its forms.
• Support Our Students Through Excellent Communication : Observing, charting, and reporting on changes in patients' conditions will help ensure the best outcomes for our students. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues will play an important part in maintaining high levels of student satisfaction and trust.
• Ensure Safe and High-Quality Care : Follow safety protocols, infection control procedures, and department standards to create a safe and healthy environment for both students and staff. Your attention to detail and commitment to best practices will ensure that our services continue to meet the highest healthcare standards.
• Engage in Professional Development and Continuous Improvement : Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and quality improvement efforts to stay at the forefront of best practices in nursing and healthcare. Your input will help shape the future of the department and contribute to enhancing the overall student health experience.

Shift

Monday - Friday; 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Minimum Qualifications

Missouri Board of Nursing LPN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state LPN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state LPNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.

Preferred Qualifications

IV Therapy certification.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Range : $22.14-$27.82 per hour paid on a bi-weekly basis

Grade : PAT LPN

University Title : LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
