    • This is non-negotiable :

  • East Lyme, Niantic, Waterford, Groton, New London.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • This is an active, outdoor job that requires the ability to walk at a brisk pace on streets and trails, maintain good balance, and have good hand dexterity for handling leashes, gates, and pet supplies.
  • Reliable, insured vehicle and valid driver’s license Have a smartphone with GPS, plenty of data, and a functioning camera Must pass a background check Must NOT bring third parties with you to the job (no family, no friends, etc - only yourself) 🐶  About This Position We are seeking a  dependable and experienced Dog Walkers (multiple)  to assist a long-time elderly client who is relocating to  Waterford, CT .

    • This is a  steady, part-time position  providing care  twice daily — every morning and evening at 8 :

  • 00 AM and 8 : 00 PM , seven days a week.
  • Occasional midday visits may be needed depending on nursing schedules.

    • About the Dog :

  • 80+ lb Great Pyrenees mix Dog-reactive and strong puller Requires an experienced, confident handler comfortable managing large dogs with high prey drive About the Client : The owner is wheelchair-bound and relies entirely on consistent pet care.
  • This position requires a truly dependable person, someone who will show up every day, 7 das a week, including  weekends and holidays  (Christmas, Easter, etc.).
  • We are open to hire multiple people for this position to rotate, as long as they can fulfill other shifts around this assignment. 🐶 What You Will Do At Shoreline Happy Paws, you are not just “walking dogs”, you are providing an essential service that pet parents truly rely on.
  • There is a sense of pride in this work, knowing that you are improving the lives of both pets and their families every single day.
  • Drive from home to home to provide care across our service area Work independently, following instructions from our scheduling app, while communicating with your supervisor for any questions or support Dog Walks - safely providing exercise, enrichment, and companionship Dog Hikes - can include multiple dogs (up to 4 at a time).
  • We train you to safely transport dogs in your car and manage a small pack effectively on the trails.
  • These only happen during the daytime.
  • Cat Visits - care for cats, including feeding, litter, play, and medications if needed Feedings - kibble, wet food, raw meat diets, and more, following the owner instructions with care Administering Medication - pills, powder on food, or other basic methods as needed Advanced Medication Administration - for pets requiring treatments such as insulin injections or subcutaneous fluids, we provide hands-on training so you can build confidence and skill in delivering this care Every visit matters.

    • You will play a trusted role in our clients’ lives while making sure their pets are happy, healthy, and safe. 🕒 Shifts Available - Let us know which shifts you would like to be on the roster :
