POSITION SUMMARY :

The position of Janitor I is responsible for custodial upkeep of the facility and production equipment. This includes but is not limited to : cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy, and empties trash receptacles. This individual will also support nVent goals in any way that management requests with a positive attitude and be willing to flex daily responsibilities as needed.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect equipment.
• Vacuum rugs / mats.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Mix various cleaning agents.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
• Move heavy equipment and furniture.
• Powerboss floor sweeping and mopping.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Shovel snow from sidewalks and sprinkle salt on surface.
• Ability to operate trash compactor.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
