Overview
Solid Rock Recruiting is partnering with a top-notch commercial door distributor in search of an experienced Project Manager to oversee Division 8 (Doors, Frames, and Hardware) projects. This individual will play a key role in planning, organizing, and managing commercial construction projects from start to finish while fostering strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead interdepartmental project teams to deliver results on time, within scope, and within budget.
Define project tasks, delegate responsibilities, and oversee execution through completion.
Conduct cost analyses and prepare project budgets.
Identify and assess risks, communicate findings to management, and provide mitigation strategies.
Serve as a primary liaison between customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Prepare detailed submittals and shop drawings using Division 8 project management software ( Comsense experience preferred).
Manage revisions, change orders, RFIs, and attend jobsite meetings as required.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and industry regulations , including ADA, life safety, and fire codes.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to share technical insights and project details.
Build and maintain positive customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-through.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial Doors, Frames, and Hardware project management.
Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
DHI certifications a plus.
Proficiency with Comsense or similar estimating / project management software.
Strong knowledge of hollow metal, wood doors, hardware, STC, FSC, and LEED standards.
Understanding of applicable building codes (fire, ADA, life safety, windstorm, etc.).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite , Adobe , and familiar with CAD .
Ability to read blueprints and specifications .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on customer service and relationship building .
