American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with strong outpatient skills and experience across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
Responsibilities
Work in a rehabilitation department providing services in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settingsSchedule is Monday through Friday, day shifts from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pmCaseload includes orthopedic, neurological, and specialty therapies such as hand therapy, TBI / stroke, Parkinson’s, vision therapy, and lymphedemaTeam of three OTs with division of labor including 10-15 hours per week of home health and heavier inpatient case load from Monday afternoon through ThursdayPatient population spans all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsResponsible for comprehensive assessment, planning, and implementation of occupational therapy programs for a wide range of patient diagnosesDuties include both individual clinical work and supervision of rehab aides, students, and COTAs as neededMust be able to work independently with strong analytical and organizational skillsPosition requires frequent walking, lifting, bending, and the ability to manage a variable pace throughout the workdayExposure to bloodborne pathogens as defined by OSHA Category IProfessional, courteous, and effective communication is essentialRequirements
M.S. or B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy requiredEligible for licensure in North Dakota; license required if applicableCurrent registration by NBCOT requiredCPR certification required and must be renewed every other yearAt least one year of work experience as an occupational therapist preferredAbility to drive a personal vehicle for work dutiesBackground check requiredBenefits
