- We are seeking an experienced coach to help transition our existing work practices to a full embrace of agile methodology, from the top down. The agile coach will mentor and guide our employees in how to figure out the best solutions for their specific departmental challenges. This person will
- analyze our organization's existing infrastructure and implement improvements to help streamline processes and create efficiencies. Ultimately, the agile coach will play a key role in long-term strategy across Client IT, helping our teams deliver better products and services in a faster, more efficient manner.
Location Requirements :
Must be able to work onsite at our Downtown Atlanta office located at West PeachtreeMust be accessible and local to the Metro Atlanta area.Hybrid Work Schedule - 3 days onsite.Objectives of this role :
Work with project teams to analyze current systems and processes and design a strategy for adopting agile best practicesGuide teams in how to stay on track with agile techniques, fine-tuning their approach to ensure that overall strategy is being metLead agile workshops for people of various technical disciplines, as well as for key stakeholdersPromote a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and assigning responsibilityDrive cultural change by championing an agile mindset, and ensure the organization is adhering to industry best practicesWork directly with Scrum Masters, Team Leads, and the PMO to nurture a healthy and productive agile environmentResponsibilities :
Facilitate learning and development among employees through individual and team coachingCoach senior managers in agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from the top downCommunicate agile principles, scrum practices, and overall operating model across the organizationChampion the use of metrics and other objective measures by teamsUndertake daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are being metMaintain objectivity regarding issues and how to troubleshoot them by applying agile principlesHold stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review project statusSupport leadership in understanding and participating in good agile practicesFacilitate the development of working agreements between teams and departments to improve cross-functional collaborationGuide the organization in implementing structured prioritization frameworks based on business valueAssist in establishing clear escalation paths and practices to reduce workflow interruptionsHelp teams develop strategies for managing technical debt within agile frameworksSupport the formation and maintenance of stable teams with clear ownership boundariesRequired skills and qualifications :
Five or more years of experience as agile coachExperience in using scrum, kanban, and knowledge of how agile scales bestTrack record of implementing agile techniques in different work cultures and environmentsExperience in running agile projects of varying size and complexity, even in a hybrid waterfall environmentStrong skills for leading, educating, and coachingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHeightened personal skills to resolve conflicts and enable people of different skills to work well togetherAbility to work directly with people in any position, regardless of technical skill or titleAble to recognize antpatterns within team dynamics and proactively work to avoid or remove themExperience breaking down organizational silos and improving collaboration between development and operations teamsDemonstrated success in shifting organizations from reactive to proactive approachesKnowledge of techniques for integrating quality assurance throughout the development lifecycleExperience implementing value-based prioritization frameworksTrack record of successfully managing organizational change in environments with entrenched practicesPreferred skills and qualifications :
Certification as agile coach or scrum masterExperience in coaching at large organizations or Fortune 500 companiesEducational background in computer science, business management, and / or project managementPrevious management experience
