Material Handler

The role of a Material Handler involves the handling of materials on a sit-down forklift within the warehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring that chemicals are weighed in the correct order and accurately documenting these transactions on the batch record. Proper labeling and storage of weighed batches in designated racks is essential, as well as verifying part and lot numbers to preserve batch integrity.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials using a sit-down forklift around the warehouse.
• Ensure chemicals are weighed in the correct order unless otherwise specified.
• Accurately document weighing transactions on the batch record.
• Properly label and store weighed batches in designated racks.
• Verify the correctness of chemicals by checking part and lot numbers.
• Ensure the correct quantity of each chemical is weighed.
• Correct and document any errors according to SOP.
• Ensure accuracy of chemicals prior to relocation.
• Investigate, document, and correct any discrepancies timely.
• Conduct cycle counts as necessary.
