Pay : $21.63 – $25.16 / hour + Shift Premiums (12% or Paid-for-40 Plans)

Tecomet is growing in Claypool, IN and hiring multiple CNC Machinist I professionals for our 3rd and weekend shifts . Our Claypool facility specializes in Wire EDM and CNC milling , supporting the production of tight-tolerance parts for the medical, defense, and aerospace industries .

This role is ideal for entry-level or early-career machinists who understand basic machining concepts and can read blueprints. We provide training and offer advancement potential for those looking to grow their CNC career.

⏰ Available Shifts

3rd Shift (Mon–Thurs) : 7 : 00 PM – 5 : 00 AM → 12% shift premium

Weekend Day (Fri–Sun) : 5 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM → Work 36 hours, paid for 40

Weekend Night (Fri–Sun) : 5 : 00 PM – 5 : 00 AM → 12% premium + Paid for 40 hours

What You’ll Do

✅ Operate CNC mills or Wire EDM machines following work instructions and engineering drawings

✅ Change dull tooling, make minor offsets, and ensure tooling wear is managed

✅ Use calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools to check dimensions

✅ Perform hand-finishing and light preventive maintenance

✅ Record activities in job tracking software and follow Good Manufacturing Practices

✅ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area using 5S principles

✅ Identify issues and escalate to supervisors or team leads

✅ Support quality and productivity initiatives

️ Requirements

Required :

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic understanding of machining processes
• Familiarity with blueprints and measuring tools
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
• US Citizenship or Green Card (ITAR compliance)
