Job Overview
The AV Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, documenting, and supporting high-end residential AV and home automation systems. This role works closely with sales, project management, and programming teams to translate client needs into technical solutions, developing detailed CAD documentation and supporting installations from concept to completion. You’ll play a key role in delivering systems that redefine luxury living.
Key Responsibilities
Design custom AV and smart home systems based on client needs and technical feasibilityCreate and maintain detailed system documentation including CAD drawings, schematics, and device layout plansCollaborate with sales, PMs, and programmers to ensure cohesive project executionCoordinate with architects, builders, and other trades to integrate systems into luxury residential environmentsPerform field visits for site assessments, measurements, and installation supportStay current on emerging technologies in the smart home and AV spaceSupport R&D and provide technical input during project planningQualifications
Required :
Proven AV and system integration experienceProficiency in CAD or other design documentation toolsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong attention to detail and multitasking abilityAbility to work both in the office and on-site as neededPreferred :
2+ years of residential AV engineering experienceExperience with Crestron, Savant, Control4, Lutron, Josh.ai, Sony, Sonance, Basalte, etc.Knowledge of residential construction phases and system integrationBachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experienceBenefits
