Description
iAutomation, a full-service automation company developing robotic solutions and offering design, engineering, and integration (DE&I) services, product support, and production services, has an immediate opening for a Senior Quality Engineer in Franklin, Massachusetts
The Senior Quality Engineer serves as the primary Quality contact for iAutomation's top and strategic customers, handling customer-driven actions & requests, and providing Quality Engineering support.
- Conduct and complete Product Verification Reports (PVR), including customer PPAPs, for new production introductions (NPI) and customer engineering changes.
- Investigate product complaints and reported quality issues using PDCA and 8D methodologies to ensure resolution aligns with company guidelines, external regulations, and customer expectations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standard requirements.
- Maintain the Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) process, ensuring Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and effective solutions are implemented for internal, external, and regulatory findings.
- Monitor and ensure the effectiveness and timely resolution of Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR).
- Use and create problem logs to identify recurring issues, report them to management and product development teams, and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the customer quality action list to analyze data and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to assess product reliability.
- Collaborate with Department Managers to maintain, create, and revise QMS documentation to uphold ISO 9001 registration.
- Work in accordance with deadlines and priorities for delivery and customer-driven actions.
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001 : 2015 standards.
- Support customer compliance requests for regulatory standards such as RoHS and REACH.
- Participate in MRB meetings and product disposition decisions.
- Assist Quality Management in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality metrics to meet organizational goals related to quality, CSR, environmental, and health & safety KPIs.
- Provide cross-functional Quality Engineering support across all iAutomation facilities as needed.
Education and Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, or industrial) and 3-5 years of professional experience in Quality Engineering.
