Overview
RESPONSIBLE FOR : Provides physics services related to the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Provides technical leadership including clinical set-up expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists. Performs quality assurance checks according to regulatory requirements and industry standards for all department equipment. Serves as a mentor and team lead for staff medical physicists. Reports to the Manager for Radiation Physics.

Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED : Masters of Science in Medical Physics, or related discipline.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Five years of clinical experience as a medical physicist in a radiation therapy department.MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW : Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics; Ability to be listed as an authorized medical physicist on the State of Georgia Radioactive Material Licenses; Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :J-18808-Ljbffr
