Working knowledge of MATLAB and SolidWorks preferred. Familiarity with FAA or aerospace qualification processes is a plus. Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). Our client is seeking a Junior Battery Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Tempe, AZ . This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the next generation of aerospace power solutions, working alongside experienced engineers on innovative and mission-critical projects.
Overview
The position is with a client in the aerospace sector focused on power systems for aircraft. The role involves design, development, and testing of battery systems and support for R&D and commercialization of new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and testing of new and existing battery systems for aerospace applications.
- Perform cell modeling and analysis to optimize design performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on packaging and integration of battery systems.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed technical reports documenting results and findings.
- Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement of existing battery systems.
- Provide technical support for R&D and commercialization of new technologies.
