Title : Staff Accountant

Location : Pittsburgh, PA

Compensation : $60,000 - $75,000

About the Opportunity :

Our client, a well-established and steadily growing company in the Pittsburgh area, is looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals (1-4 years of experience) who are eager to sharpen their accounting expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment that emphasizes professional growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings

Prepare journal entries and generate routine financial reports

Provide documentation to support internal and external audits

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies

Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

1-4 years of accounting experience (public or private sector)

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas); ERP experience a plus (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Collaborative team player who can also work independently
