Advanced Agrilytics seeks a Regional Agronomy Lead (RAL) to establish growth in NE Illinois. The role involves driving sales growth, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring that the team provides top-quality agronomic advice to farmers. The (RAL) plays a strategic role in ensuring the sales team meets revenue goals, while also focusing on product performance, client satisfaction, and employee development.

How You Will Help Us Grow
Business Acumen :
- Collaborates cross-functionally to align business goals with financial and operational strategies
- Understands and manages financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business health and guide planning
- Maintains a proactive approach to problem-solving, anticipating business needs and adapting strategies accordingly
- Translates complex business challenges into actionable insights that drive growth and efficiency
Product Knowledge & Support :
Provide technical expertise on agricultural products and ensure that the team is up-to-date with the latest developments in agronomic practices and productsWork closely with product development, marketing and R&D teams to stay informed about new product offerings and innovations, ensuring the team has the necessary knowledge to promote themGuide the sales team in conducting field trials, demonstrations, and educational workshops to showcase the benefits of products and solutionsSales & Market Share Growth :
Leverage deep grower & retailer relationships to grow market share in the region in partnership with Precision AgronomistsProvide technical and agronomic support to Precision Agronomist team on key grower sales callsDevelop and supply technical agronomic support material to the sales organization Achieve sales, revenue and market share targets within the defined market / territoryPlans and establish research at grower operations to demonstrate improved management (crop inputs, hybrid / variety and others) strategies to use as a sales toolLiaison between sales and data teams to provide technical support and guide vision and development of new digital toolsTeam Leadership & Development :
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of agronomists and sales representatives, providing guidance on technical agronomy solutions and sales strategiesConduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and develop professional growth plans for team membersFoster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvementHire and maintain oversight in training summer internsData-Driven Decision Making :
Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas of growth and improvementUse insights from data analysis to refine sales strategies, improve customer service, and identify potential market opportunitiesEnsure that team members are effectively using CRM systems and other tools to track customer interactions and sales activitiesCrop Advising :
Support crop scouting with growers to guide team members in key agronomic decision makingWork with key industry connections to understand seed, crop protection, and fertility innovations and educate team members on relevant products for geographyReview and mentor precision agronomists and precision ag specialist on decisions around grower crop plans, rotations, product positioningDevelop, review, and draw conclusions from grower year end data reviewsExperience You Bring
A Master's degree in an associated field with five years of experience OR a Bachelor's degree with eight years of experienceMust be willing to maintain or obtain a Certified Crop Advisor certification within one year of employmentDemonstrates a desire to mentor a team of agronomists in personal growth to assist in achieving sales and growth targetsWillingness and desire to engage in customer sales calls and assist Precision Agronomists in closing sales opportunitiesComfortable in challenging customers and play the role of a change agent to help them improve their operationsStrong listening skills to carefully and effectively appreciate unique customer needs and align them into compelling value propositionsMust reside in the U.S., and live within the desired territoryWhat Our Culture Brings
