Material Handler

Summary of Job

Responsible for loading / unloading trucks, put away product, and movement of product to and from the production floor. Ability to operate Fork / Clamp Trucks and enter data in the ERP system A / R. Adheres to company standards of safety and quality, while maintaining efficiency and timeliness.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Support, demonstrate and promote Pregis' core values : integrity, collaboration, customer focus and innovation.
• Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Housekeeping throughout assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
• Physical and visual inspection of products is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Promptly reports all quality defects to the appropriate team members.
• Ability to operate Fork / Clamp Trucks.
• Ability to lift and stack product above shoulder height on warehouse / production floor and out bound trailers.
• Assists to maintain a safe, well organized, FIFO (first in, first out) controlled warehouse.
• Unloading and putting away incoming materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and work regulations including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety rules.
• Attend meetings and complete safety training as required. Report all hazardous conditions to the Lead, Operations Supervisor, or Plant Manager immediately for corrective action.
• Report any accident, incident or near miss to the Team Lead, Supervisor, Manager or Plant Manager.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
