SUMMARY
The Clinical Supervisor oversees and supports case managers, ensuring clients receive appropriate services, managing staff, providing guidance, and ensuring professional development and compliance with applicable procedures, policies, regulations, and standards related to the Healthcare Transformation Collaborative (HTC). Clinical Supervisor will assist with client case load when needed and provide psychotherapy / case management services. On call / after-hours responsibilities, as required. Recommends service operation improvements to enhance delivery service. Initiates and cultivates professional relationships with human services organizations, government agencies, both public and private.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate Degree in Behavioral Health field or related field.
- LCSW, LCPC or LMTF license preferred.
- Two years supervisory experience and ability to work on multidisciplinary teams.
- Must have IM-CAT (Illinois Medicaid Crisis Assessment Tool) working knowledge and be IM+CAN (Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs Strengths) certified. Experience in community behavioral / mental health and crisis care consultation.
- Intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel.
- Possess effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with the needs and resources of the population and location served. Comfortability in provision of community-based services and understanding of basic safety protocol for staff and consumers in provision of community-based services.
- Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and vehicle insurance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Trains, assigns cases, coaches, and evaluates staff performance. Recommends staff hires as well as disciplinary actions. Oversees case management operations, staff coverage, and case progress.
Reviews and meets with staff regarding clinical techniques, documentation, transition of client care, and compliance with regulations and standards.Attend, assists, or leads case conferences with Healthcare Transformation Collaborative (HTC) clinicians and partners; clinical grand rounds, staff / team, community meetings, and case presentations. Ensures coordination with paired hospital and participate in hospital meetings.Manages complex client cases; performs a variety of direct clinical, diagnostic, treatment, and outreach services.Visit and conduct on site outreach services to individuals with substance use disorder and severe mental illness.
