Construction Quality Control Manager
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager to lead the QA / QC process. The role involves ensuring that work aligns with the design intent, guiding trade contractors, and interacting with inspectors from the University of Michigan. This position is part of our traveling department and will initially be assigned to a student housing and dining hall project.
Responsibilities
Implement the entire Quality Control (QC) program.
Attend all CQC plan meetings, coordination, and mutual understanding meetings.
Conduct CQC meetings and perform the three phases of the quality control process.
Perform submittal review and approval.
Guide the interpretation of construction documents and ensure compliance with specifications.
Set quality expectations through pre-installation meetings.
Coordinate permitting and inspections, maintain punch lists, and verify completion.
Essential Skills
Quality control expertise.
OSHA compliance knowledge.
Over 10 years of construction QA / QC experience.
Experience managing projects valued at $25 million or more.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
OSHA 30 certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with University of Michigan projects is a bonus.
Work Environment
The work environment is onsite with day shifts, typically from 7 AM to 4 PM, with occasional Saturdays. The project has a total value of $500 million. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
