- Digital Marketing Consultant
- to lead digital marketing strategy and execution across our shopping mall portfolio and corporate channels. You will guide on-property teams while managing digital efforts at the corporate level to align with business goals and drive engagement. You will focus on both B2C and B2B audiences, ensuring brand consistency and measurable results. You will apply your expertise in digital trends, content marketing, influencer strategy, and analytics to support business growth and expansion. You will collaborate with the corporate marketing team to deliver cohesive messaging and maximize digital impact. This is an independent contractor role, so you will be self-employed, responsible for your taxes, and will not receive employee benefits.

- To succeed, you should have :
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience with a strong focus on social media, content strategy, and performance marketing.
- Proven ability to lead multi-property digital initiatives and collaborate with remote or cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in content creation, including video editing, Reels, Canva design, copywriting, and storytelling.
- Proficient in digital tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, CRM systems, and social media management platforms.
- This position is only open to U.S. residents. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Your responsibilities as the Digital Marketing Consultant will include :
- Corporate Digital & Social Media Strategy
- Develop and oversee all digital marketing strategies for the corporate brand, including external social media, internal staff communications (email newsletters and SMS), website, and paid digital advertising.
- Grow and evolve the companys digital presence to ensure brand consistency, engagement, and relevance across all platforms.
- Ensure all digital strategies align with and support the overarching marketing vision set by the VP(s) of Marketing, reflecting their overall strategy, direction, and guidance for the company and property portfolio.
- Utilize digital and social media platformsincluding Instagram, LinkedIn, and Meta toolsto create and execute a comprehensive content plan that supports corporate strategies, drives business growth, and leverages marketing as a key tool to support leasing and investment goals while highlighting company milestones, innovation, team culture, and thought leadership.
- Property-Level Digital Strategy & Oversight
- Provide strategic oversight, tracking, and expert guidance for digital marketing efforts across the shopping center portfolio, ensuring excellence in execution, messaging, and digital branding.
- Ensure all centers receive relevant support to grow digital engagement and in-center conversion. Direction, feedback, and guidance to apply to the property's digital marketing strategy.
- Provide consistent analysis, direction, and training for the Pocketstop M360 CRM platform, including email, SMS, in-center activation campaigns, contests, event registration, and database growth strategies.
- Provide field training (quarterly) and development (ongoing) for the property teams, sharing best practices to enhance their digital expertise and ensure cohesive execution of digital content strategies. Including but not limited to M360, Pocketstop, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok. Includes onboarding of new hires and continued education.
- Create toolkits, best practices, and content frameworks to scale campaigns while allowing for center-specific customization.
- Manage all contracts and relationships with digital marketing vendors, ensuring cost-effective solutions, timely renewals, issue resolution, and ongoing performance optimization to maximize the impact and value of each program.
- Support the property teams in identifying influencers, partners, and media to amplify reach and impact.
- Content Development & Performance Marketing
- Oversee creation of best-in-class contentincluding videos, reels, static posts, and carousel graphicsthat resonate with target audiences and elevate the brand voice.
- Manage all corporate-level paid social and digital advertising strategies, including budgeting, creative direction, audience targeting, and performance optimization.
- Develop and manage influencer marketing partnerships and programs that align with both national and local initiatives and support in-center sales and foot traffic.
- Collaborate with the PR team to amplify digital storytelling across all channels and leverage earned media to enhance social strategy.
- Management and oversight of property and corporate websites, including agency management, content updates, and evolution of the site as necessary. Includes onboarding and offboarding website, social, and CRM needs.
- Innovation & Strategic Development
- Consistently research and ideate new, innovative ways that digital marketing can support shopping center performance, executing at least one new strategic opportunity to the team annually for consideration and testing.
- Monitor and stay ahead of digital marketing and social media trends, shifts in consumer behavior, competitive landscape, AI, and platform algorithm updates. Proactively identify emerging platforms and opportunities, sharing key insights with marketing leadership, and supporting the integration of relevant strategies at the property level in alignment with corporate marketing objectives.
- Analytics & Optimization
- Digital Reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Analyze digital campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve engagement and ROI continuously.
- Analyze and interpret both corporate and property-level analytics to demonstrate ROI and overall impact, using data to uncover and present new ways to show digital marketing value to stakeholders.
- Establish performance benchmarks and KPIs for corporate and property digital efforts and produce regular reporting dashboards and content calendars that align with the communications plan.
