DarrowEverett LLP is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney for our Litigation Department. The candidate must have excellent communication and administrative skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, be able to multitask without sacrificing efficiency, be responsible, and be able to represent the firm, always, in ways that enhance its reputation.
Qualified candidates must be prepared to handle cases from inception through trial, including drafting discovery pleadings and motions, and taking and defending depositions. A strong record of academic achievement, proven writing skills, and a talent for advocacy in the courtroom are minimum requirements. Attorneys must be licensed to practice in Rhode Island and be in good standing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing the legal issues that transpire between people that are members of the same family.
- Supervising and directing mediation sessions and offering effective legal advice.
- Organizing and recording all official documents required to file cases.
- Coordinating with staff to prepare an extensive brief on each case that goes to trial.
- Upholding a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences.
- Responding to the urgent needs of clients.
- Overseeing family estates and wills.
- Attending trials and court proceedings.
- Regularly updating clients about their cases.

Bachelor's degree and J.D.
