PCU RN Job Details Location : Lima, Ohio (45801) – Ohio nursing jobs Unit : PCU / Stepdown Cardiac Unit (18 beds) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse contract Start Date : October 6, 2025 End Date : January 5, 2026 Duration : 13-week travel nursing assignment Shift : 12-hour nights (Weekender shift : Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday) Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours available) On-Site Position Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780-$1910 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state Minimum 1 year of RN experience (PCU, Stepdown, or acute care preferred) Experience with pre / post Cath Lab patients and ventilators / tracheostomies required Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available) Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as needed Navy blue scrubs required PCU Nurse Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Insulin) Provide care for patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions, including post-cardiac cath, post-pacemaker, post-mitraclip, post-TAVR, new onset atrial fibrillation, chest pain, COPD, and heart failure Manage lines, drains, and devices (figure 8 stitch, angioseal, femostop) Operate advanced respiratory modalities (ventilators, tracheostomies, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, high flow nasal cannula) Serve as a patient advocate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development Apply now to join our healthcare team as a travel PCU Registered Nurse in Lima, Ohio, and make a difference in patient care!
