About The Position

Experience : 2+ years as a respiratory therapist

License : Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan

Certifications : Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care, BLS certification from AHA

Must-Have :

• 2+ years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
• Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program

Description :

Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, the therapist will deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients.

The role includes performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for patients in Intensive Care and General Practice Units.

Maintaining clinical expertise for departmental assignments at various business units is essential.

Effective communication with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs is required.

Documenting all aspects of patient care adequately is a key responsibility.

The therapist will supervise, direct, and delegate to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs, and students as assigned.

Completing necessary and accurate patient billing information is also required.

Candidates with neonatal intensive care experience are preferred but not required.

Experience working in a Trauma Level 2 facility is a plus but not mandatory.
