Turbine Assembler Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Turbine Technician to join our team on the day shift. The role involves the assembly of gas turbines, which are used as primary power generation units. You will assemble new gas turbine packages according to OEM specifications and engineering drawings, perform alignment, torqueing, and precision fitting of turbine components and auxiliary systems, and conduct pre-commissioning checks and functional testing of assembled units.

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of mechanical assembly experience on turbines.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and blueprints.
  • Experience performing non-conformance, merger & continuity, and electrical / instrumentation tests.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble gas turbines according to OEM specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Perform alignment, torquing, and precision fitting of turbine components and auxiliary systems.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning checks and functional testing, including non-conformance, merger & continuity, and electrical / instrumentation tests.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with build standards.
  • Utilize precise measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly procedures, test results, and configuration data.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical assembly skills on gas turbines.
  • Proficiency in using power tools.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

    Work Environment

    Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with a focus on safety and precision. Please note that no jewelry is allowed on the production floor.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 / hr.
