EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

2 years experience as certified nursing assistant, patient care technician, medical office assistant, certified medical office assistant, and / or either EMT or EMT-I certification or completed first semester of a nursing clinicals.

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Skilled in completing electrocardiogram (or competency within one 30 days of hire).

Successful completion of IV training required with competency demonstrated within 60 days of hire.

Experience with phlebotomy.

Licenses and Certifications

(BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT from an American Heart Association Accredited program or American Red Cross (ARC)

(ACPE-IV) STERILE COMPOUNDING (IV) CERT within 60 Days

(CPI) CRISIS PREVENTION INSTITUT CER within 180 Days

(EMT) EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECH certification optional. If hired with EMT certification, the certification must be kept current throughout employment.

Preferred : Experience in a busy Emergency Department as an ERT or EMT
