Position Summary :
The Laboratory Manager in the College of Science & Technology's Biology division will be in the Abdulai-Saiku Lab responsible for research projects advancing the understanding of how X chromosome genes affect age-related cognitive decline. Manages the mouse colony including breeding and genotyping transgenic lines. Comply with laboratory safety / infection control policies and procedures. Assists in the daily use and maintenance of specialized equipment in the laboratory including spectrophotometers, incubators, FACS machines, cell culture equipment micro-injection apparatuses, regular and confocal microscopes, etc. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience :
Bachelor's and at least three years of directly related laboratory management / research experience and experience with mouse handling and husbandry. Experience with mouse handling and administrative tasks will be prioritized.
