Experience in complex inpatient hospital pharmacy settings. Familiarity with Epic (EMR) and Workday (HR / Finance systems) preferred. Previous experience in interim or turnaround leadership roles is a plus. Visible and approachable leader who builds trust and rapport quickly. Strong communicator capable of aligning teams around shared goals. Action-oriented problem solver with a steady, professional approach to challenges. Collaborative and composed under pressure, bringing calm and clarity to transition environments.
Interim Director of Pharmacy
Little Rock, AR
$4,000 per week
13-week contract Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM Start Date : ASAP
We're seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead a high-performing hospital pharmacy team through a transitional period. This role requires a visible, hands-on leader who can quickly build trust, strengthen communication, and bring stability and structure to a department in change.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, approachable leadership to a team of 35 pharmacy professionals (including pharmacists, managers, and technicians).
- Oversee all inpatient pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency.
- Drive team engagement, accountability, and collaboration through effective communication and coaching.
- Address performance and workflow challenges with professionalism and urgency.
- Implement best practices in medication safety and quality improvement.
- Partner with hospital leadership to assess current operations and support a smooth transition to permanent leadership.
