Duties and Responsibilities :
- Reviews the monthly statements, and the checking and savings accounts for assigned ESARC clients
- Prepares Sage ledgers for assigned clients, respite, group homes, and discretionary funding
- Assists other business office staff when assigned during times of need.
- Pays for client expenses for rent, food, medical, utilities, etc and prepares checks for clients
- Communicates and reviews client ledgers with Group Home Supervisory staff
- Submits changes to FSSA, Indiana Department of Health, Social Security and FWHA and prepares reports and other documents as required for clients
- Attends the initial case conferences upon enrollment of clients
- Assists the Client Financial Supervisor with assigned tasks
- Ensures that ethical financial transactions are done with the highest regard for the client’s well being
- Understands the client’s needs and requirements and takes action to ensure those are met
- Trains clients to achieve maximum independence and interacts with clients with dignity and respect
- Adheres to Easter Seals Arc Human Resources Policies and Department Standard Operating Procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned including assisting other personnel when required
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate’s Degree in Business / Accounting or related field is preferred.
- Two years experience working with accounting / bookkeeping is preferred
- One year of experience working with Sage / Excel / Word is preferred
- One year of experience working with the ID / DD population is preferred
- Ability to pass criminal / registry background checks and other required screenings to be eligible for bonding
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working independently

Complete required forms and reports of services provided
Follow oral and written instructionsCommunicate with an individual in the individual’s mode of communicationPossession of valid driver’s license, safe driving record, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance is requiredMust be able to complete all required trainingWorking Conditions : The Client Financial Specialist performs duties in a standard office environment. Employee works with some supervision, both alone and with others in a team environment. The CFS works most hours at a desk with standard office equipment. The environment may be fast-paced with interruptions, distractions and deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT- Employee will work in an open office setting and may experience some minimal light lifting as well as moderate conversational noise.
