JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
Forecast Modelling and Data Science
- Develop and enhance multi-variable driven prediction models to accurately forecasts the company's short, medium, and long-term investment recovery rates by investment.
- Utilize statistical and database platforms to manipulate large amounts of data from various sources for the purposes of analysis and review.
- Identify and integrate cost-effective third-party data that enhances prediction accuracy.
- Measure ongoing forecasting accuracy against historical predictions and make forecasting changes as necessary to enhance.
- Develop asset scoring systems to monitor portfolio quality.
- Present financial reports to Executive, Shareholders, Board of Directors, investors and external lenders.
Strategic Analysis
Provide recommendations to Management regarding proposals within the business including, but not limited to, prediction improvement, data management, reporting advances, and asset profitability enhancementProactively identify and recommend key risk management and / or business growth initiatives.Prepare and manage project plans and reports to management on the status and recommendations and analysis.REQUIREMENTS
A degree (Bachelor's / MBA) in Computer Science, Business, Math, Economics or Engineering and / or related work experience5+ years of experience in building statistical models to generate projections, preferably within the consumer receivables industryAccuracy, attention to detail and sound judgementStrong business acumen with a good understanding of business environment to provide meaningful analysisAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, advanced ExcelExperience with SAS and SQLExperience and understanding of database structures and querying, including the ability to design reports from blended data sources.Experience with programming languages such as Python, R and VBA may be helpfulHighly adept at identifying and implementing process improvement initiativesIndependent and proactive with proven experience in taking on new projects with little supervisionEffective written and verbal communication skills, with proven relationship building skills and ability to work with various levels of managementDemonstrated ability to effectively manage internal relationships by collaborating within the department and across business unitsStrong leadership skills with the ability to influence and mentor team members where no direct reporting lines existAbility to effectively manage internal and external expectations in a dynamic, fast paced and demanding environmentBENEFITS
