EY's Analytics and Data team is seeking a Master Data Management Senior Manager. This role focuses on helping our clients define and drive data management strategy and technology implementation. The individual should be ready to guide clients through the adoption and implementation of advanced technologies. In this role, you will design and apply comprehensive methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the entire lifecycle of data assets. You will perform maturity assessments on data management capabilities and advise on tools and roadmaps to implement them. Additionally, you will articulate information strategies that align with business objectives. This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with significant opportunity to shape digital and data strategies.
Your key responsibilities include :
- Leading complex processes and projects, ensuring quality and risk management while navigating organizational dynamics.
- Developing solutions to complex problems, including functional and technical design of master data management software.
- Managing client relationships and engagement delivery, with regular travel requirements.
- Developing resource plans and budgets for engagements.
- Defining and executing the analytics and data governance strategy.
- Developing and implementing robust data governance frameworks.
- Overseeing master data management, metadata management, and data cataloging practices.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy, protection, and regulatory standards.
- Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team.
- Designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures.
- Overseeing cloud-based data management platforms.
- Driving the design and implementation of analytical models, data pipelines, and visualizations.
- Leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.
- Translating business initiatives into prioritized use cases.
- Developing and championing data literacy programs.
- Communicating analytical findings through data storytelling.
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
Skills and attributes for success include :
Minimum of 12 years of direct involvement with MDM tools.Experience leading delivery teams in data governance and related system implementations.Knowledge of future trends / changes in the industry.Working knowledge of cloud technologies AWS and Azure.Strong leadership and communication skills.Proven ability to research and provide insights on industry standards, regulations, technology assessments, and forecasts.Demonstrated expertise in data privacy and master data management.Strong understanding of data governance and enterprise strategy.Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.To qualify for the role, you must have :
Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree) in Engineering, Advanced Data Analytics, or a related technical or scientific field with prior consulting experience.ERP implementation experience including full implementation cycles of SAP implementation with SAP MDG as a component.At least 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data governance, or data strategy, preferably in the oil & gas industry.Strong understanding of data governance principles.Experience with enterprise IT architecture.Deep knowledge of data governance, including data quality frameworks, stewardship models, compliance, and policy creation.Experience in master data management (MDM), metadata, lineage tracking, and data catalog tools.Demonstrated experience designing and deploying scalable data architectures.Proficiency with data analytics tools and platforms.Ability to lead large-scale digital transformation engagements.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and building high-performing data teams.Hands-on experience in cloud and data engineering tools.A valid driver's license in the US; willingness and ability to travel internationally.A track record of successful stakeholder engagement and the ability to maintain and grow business relationships.Ideally, you'll also have :
