Job Summary

This position is the primary technical resource for the Microsoft Power Platform within the Advocate Health Microsoft 365 environment. This position will have responsibilities across multiple Microsoft workloads including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI. This position will also be a technical resource for Copilot, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Viva Engage. This person must work with both technical and business teammates to resolve support tickets and provide guidance to management when support patterns emerge that require a more comprehensive change in the Advocate Health computing environment.

This senior engineer will need to be proficient in managing both the governance and administration of the Microsoft Power Platform services at an enterprise level. They should also be able to answer technical questions and provide guidance on how best to integrate the Power Platform services within the boundaries of Advocate Health governance policies. This engineer is expected to research upcoming new or deprecated features within the Power Platform and to advise management when appropriate.

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on Power Platform administration experience and / or 2 years of Microsoft 365 applications user training and / or support.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the Power Platform governance and adoption strategy for the enterprise
  • Oversee environment lifecycle, monitoring, and ownership
  • Responsible for information architecture and business analyst activities involving end user and enterprise solutions
  • Participate in AI innovation workshops to recognize business processes that can be optimized using Microsoft Copilot
  • Collaborate with other enterprise teams to develop scalable policies, procedures, and best practices for a user population of approximately 180,000
  • Oversee Microsoft tenant migration strategies and activities
  • Address support tickets escalated from tier 1 and 2 support levels
  • Escalate and track support tickets with vendors
  • Troubleshoot out of the box Microsoft functionality and services
  • Develop and maintain basic PowerShell scripts related to environment maintenance
  • Maintain Knowledge Base articles, eLearning and training content
  • Manage enterprise level business solution development projects through the entire life cycle

Physical Requirements

Work is subject to high-level visibility through exposure to Advocate Health administration. Requires a high degree of proficiency in verbal and written communications. Must be available for callback support on a regular basis, minimal evening and weekend hours, training required. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Education, Experience And Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or job-related field preferred. 3-5 years of hands-on Power Platform administration experience. 5 years of Microsoft 365 applications and cloud services user training and / or support. Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and OneNote. Experience with forms technology and workflow automation. Familiarity with PowerShell, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL, C#

Pay Range

$46.55 - $69.85
