JOB SUMMARY

Herbal Goodness is seeking an energetic and outgoing Retail store Associate to work in our new Herbal and Health Food Store in McKinney.

This is a full-time or part-time role that will work 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday (40-hour week) or less, depending on availability. Reports to the Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for herbs, herbal remedies, and alternative medicines. They will have some knowledge of herbs and promote overall wellness. We seek an individual who is warm, cheerful, excited to greet customers, and happy to share knowledge of herbs and remedies with customers in the retail environment.

The primary responsibilities include greeting customers, taking orders, restocking store shelves, engaging with customers to respond to questions, and completing all store transactions. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing inventory, processing online orders for shipment, handling returns, and delivering exceptional customer service that builds client loyalty. The candidate will be responsible for keeping the store tidy, clean and super inviting for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greeting walkin customers very warmly and making them feel at home when they walk through the door.
• Providing accurate information and answering customers questions about specific herbs, products / services (e.g. product features, pricing, etc)
• Responsible for providing a monthly report of inventory including returns captured at the store.
• Processing orders, transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Cross-selling and Upselling products knowledgeably and helpfully.
• Keeping the store floors, windows, counter, and other areas clean and organized at all times
• Ensuring shelves are fully stocked, assisting in maintaining the stock room, and restocking items from our warehouse as needed.
• Informing customers about discounts and special offers.
• Gathering and providing customer feedback to the business to further action
• Staying up-to-date with new herbs, products / services, merchandise promotions, advertisements, etc.
• Encouraging customers to leave reviews and attend in-store or off-site events and programs.
• Fulfilling online orders, packing, labeling, shipping, and receiving.
• Updating sales and customer data in the company database
• Maintaining the cash register, including keeping adequate change denominations in the cash drawer.
• Reconciling cash drawers and sales receipts.
• Working as a team to meet the retail store sales goals.
• Handling any customer grievances in a mature and calm manner.
• Answering the phone.
• Other tasks as they come up
