POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking a Structural Engineer to support the firms progressive and dynamic civil and environmental engineering team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
- Write and edit structural specifications
- Select procedures and materials, and their respective sizes
- Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project
- Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various agencies for code compliance
- Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
3-6+ years of post graduate professional experienceBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalentStructural analysis and design skillsSolid professional structural engineering experience related to a variety of projects and industriesExperience preparing, reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimatesAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skillsExperience with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Staad Pro etcDESIRED ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
PE / SE registration is highly preferred, or the intention to complete registrationRequirements
