Senior Estimator
This reputable and well known general contractor local to Palm Beach County and working throughout Florida, has a strong company culture and large pipeline of work. They work in the commercial and residential sector of construction including municipal, education, healthcare, multi-family, office, retail and work both in the public and private sectors. They are looking to build out their preconstruction team and are looking for talent at all levels.
Job Description
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, labor / material estimates, and cost analyses for hard bid and negotiated projects.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Lead bid day coordination and final bid submissions.
- Review project plans, specs, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to assess job conditions and validate scope.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop value engineering options and budget strategies.
- Maintain a database of unit pricing, historical data, and subcontractor / supplier relationships.
- Track and analyze market trends, cost fluctuations, and potential risks.
The Successful Applicant
7+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial or municipal work.Proven experience with hard bid / general contracting.Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and building systems.Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, or similar).Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.What's on Offer
