Status : Part-time
Hours : 16 hours per week
Schedule : Mon-5.15pm-8.45pm, Tuesday-2pm –7.30pm, Wednesday 2pm- 5.30pm & Thursdays- 5.15pm-8.45pm evenings. Potential opportunity for more hours if interested.
Pay Range : $23.92 per hour + $1.00 Bilingual differential
The Family Services Advocate is responsible for working with the SafeChoice Family Services Manager and SafeChoice team to provide high-quality child activities and child advocacy for youth in SafeChoice programs. Under the supervision of the Family Services Manager, Family Services Advocates provide care while the parent / guardian is receiving support services (such as group and / or classes) from YWCA. Children participating in services are commonly experiencing poverty, homelessness, or other forms of trauma.
Misson :
There is a strong social justice component to all positions within YWCA Clark County, requiring critical thinking through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty. Knowing the core principles of anti-racism and grounding those principles in everyday work are required job skills and core values.
