The starting pay range for this position begins at $17.09 / hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Cottage Housekeepers must be able to clean Historic Guest Cottages along with Guest Rooms to the expected standards, speed requirements, and detailed cleanliness level while offering exceptional guest service. Associates will work in an individual and team atmosphere. Duties include : upkeep and presentation of cottages and other locations as assigned; dusting, vacuuming, polishing furniture, and sanitizing bathrooms; and responsibility for amenity replenishments. Duties may also include deep cleaning projects and / or floor care within areas as required. Attendants will also offer general assistance and support for the department, leadership, and the company.

Schedule can vary. Weekend and holiday availability required.

Essential Job Duties :

1. Accept and complete daily assignments while maintaining proper time management skills and exceptional performance. 2. Proper storage, replacement and placement of guest room amenities and linens. 3. Make up beds in guest rooms following standards; dust and vacuum guest rooms. 4. Proper storage and usage of cleaning chemicals maintaining safety measures. 5. Cleaning and sanitizing of guest bathrooms, mirrors and windows, using proper chemicals. 6. Emptying trash and disposing of properly. 7. Stocking and cleaning housekeeping storage areas. 8. Deep cleaning the rooms as necessary.

Requirements :

1. Previous successful experience within Inn on Biltmore Estate Housekeeping Team as a Housekeeper II. 2. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping, house cleaning, and / or rooms operations required. 3. Commitment to delivering world class guest service and anticipating guest needs. 4. Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques helpful. 5. Proven ability to multi-task effectively, work as part of a team and under deadlines, and exercise good judgment. Must be able to prioritize. 6. Excellent attention to detail is a must. 7. Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate. 8. Solid communication skills. Must be able to respond appropriately to guest requests. 9. Ability to operate / use small commercial cleaning equipment. 10. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid drivers license. Transportation within a company vehicle required.

11. Self inspects and maintains cottages to guest ready conditions. Must score above 90% on Biltmore Cottage Standards.

Physical Requirements :

This position will require a physical exam at the Biltmore Clinic prior to starting work. An offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of this examination.

1. Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally (with assistance). 2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work area; must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, reach overhead and below. 3. Ability to stand / walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift; will work in locations where the ability to climb ladders or stairs would be required.

Additional Requirements :

1. Assists other staff members as needed or requested, to assure exceptional quality and service. 2. Report any maintenance problems to Housekeeping or Engineering to assure guest and staff service and safety. 3. Become familiar with company services and locations to be well prepared for guest questions. 4. Provide general support and assistance to the leadership, department, and company as required.
