Budget Analyst / Financial Manager

As Financial Manager / Budget Analyst, your primary responsibility will be handling the day-to-day financial management of a portfolio of projects with our government sponsors. Duties include :
- Lead the proposal development process by collaborating with technical and program team members to identify staffing requirements and preparing an accurate and fully compliant proposal packages for submission to government sponsors.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial data related to AOS' direct-sponsored project portfolio, including performing updates of project plans for labor, non-labor, and funding resources, highlighting financial and staffing trends, identifying anomalies, and calculating financial projections for government sponsors and program managers.
- Advise program and project managers on efforts related to contract and financial administration while providing sound contractual and financial guidance and recommendations for best practices.
- Participate in program reviews and program / sponsor meetings and proactively respond to and address all business or financial matters pertaining to the program.
- Use the internal Management Information Systems in conjunction with Excel to provide analysis of actual and projected costs for programs, ad-hoc reporting and support as required.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for our government sponsors.
- Demonstrate initiative and take appropriate actions to resolve issues and ensure desired results are achieved and delivered on time.
- Assess project schedules and identify, evaluate financial and contractual risks relating to period of performance, contract ceiling, available funding, time to award, and more.
- Engage and partner with various levels of APL staff and leadership, particularly with Contract, Subcontract, and Procurement team members of the business enterprise.
