Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the 2024 / 2025 school year in Newkirk, NM. This contract role involves working four days per week from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The caseload includes approximately 20-25 students with varied needs, primarily mild to moderate, including some non-verbal students. There is no requirement for VOCO services.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for K-12 students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment data
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and emotional well-being
• Provide consultation and interventions for behavioral and academic concerns
• Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with district policies

Desired Qualifications :

Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist

Experience working with K-12 students including those with non-verbal communication needs

Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and educational psychology principles

Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Effective communication and organizational skills

This position emphasizes work conducted Monday through Thursday, with no VOCO duties required. Interviews will begin in April.
