The Behavioral Monitor assists in the planning, organizing and monitoring of daily interaction for 1 : 1 residents. The Behavioral Monitor prepares reports on the residents’ progress as may be required.
Responsibilities :
Provide 1 : 1 observation with physicians orders on all 3 shifts;
Effectively initiates behavior modification, de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to maintain safety and promote healing on the unit;
Assists residents with leisure recreation;
Notifies Nursing staff of any behaviors that occur during shift;
Request assistance from Nursing staff for all clinical needs;
Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;
Performs other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Nursing Department;
