Job Title : Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Programmer
Position reports to : Plant Manager or Superintendent
Department : CNC (Production)
Terms : Full-Time, Salary, Monday-Friday, First Shift, Saturdays as needed
Job Purpose Summary : Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
Skill requirements :
Possess ability to layout bend lines for press department and identify aids for welding processes.
Possess ability to keep up to date and aware of all improvements to the most current version of the CAD / CAM software as each new release provides shortcuts and improvements to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
Most post processors that create CNC code use comma delimited files for the creation of this code.
Knowledge of machine code is important to keep machines from sitting idle while waiting for programs to be changed.
