Position Summary
Virginia Green is currently seeking a paid Training and Development Intern in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate is entering their junior or senior year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or related field. The intern can expect to be involved in developing training materials and presentations, tracking and evaluating training programs, and onboarding new hires. Interns will also have the opportunity to explore other facets of the Human Resources Department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with curating a library of learning materials, including e-learning modules, videos, and other resources.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify and create relevant content that aligns with the company’s strategic goals and employee development needs.
- Organize and categorize content to ensure easy access and usability for employees.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Conduct research on industry trends and best practices in learning and development to continuously improve the content library.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials to promote the use of the learning library among employees.

Interpersonal and communication skillsStrong interest in learning and development, instructional design, or content creation.Strong organizational skillsFamiliarity with adult learning methodologyPrevious classroom experience or adult education exposure is beneficial.Ability to interact with all levels of the organization professionallyProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteEducation and Experience
Must be a current college student in good standing : Human Resources, Education, and Business Administration majors preferred.Minimum Physical Requirements
