Senior Time And Attendance Associate Senior Support
The Office of Business Administration is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a commitment to teamwork to join the Office of Physical Plant (OPP) Time and Attendance Department as a Senior Time and Attendance Associate Senior Support.
The Time and Attendance Associate supports approximately 1,000 employees in the accurate and efficient entry, processing, and submission of timecards; resolves issues related to time errors and adjustments; validates the accuracy of time, absence, holiday, overtime, and wage rate information; provides guidance to employees and managers on time entry policies and procedures; and collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
Work Arrangement :
This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor and manage payroll deadlines and related data submissions on a bi-weekly basis to ensure accurate time and attendance records for OPP's University Park Technical Service employee population, and provide oversight of time and attendance efforts for the Commonwealth Campus Facilities technical service employees
Monitor and update time balances; track and audit time submission approvals
Provide proactive instruction to employees and managers related to time entry procedures and process questions; partner with employees and managers to troubleshoot timecard issues; adjust entries and facilitate the resubmission process; develop training materials for the unit on time procedures and best practices
Verify, apply knowledge of, review, and enter correct codes related to leave of absence and overtime scenarios
Advise on time entry policies and processes; ensure compliance with University Payroll policies and collective bargaining agreement requirements
Investigate and resolve payroll integration issues between work unit and enterprise systems
Cooperate and coordinate with multiple departments to strengthen partnerships, resolve issues, and identify and implement process improvements to gain efficiency and accuracy in processes
Perform various bi-weekly / monthly audits related to payroll processing
Collaborate with the University WorkLion Team (WMO) to identify process improvements and provide specific information about the payroll process to ensure that ongoing enhancements to the Physical Plant Time and Attendance programs are in accordance with university guidelines and the needs of the office
Provide training for new technical service employees on entry of hours worked, reporting time off, paycheck inquiries, direct deposit information, and tax information
Advise on policies and procedures as they relate to accurate and compliant payroll processing
Provide exceptional customer service utilizing email, Microsoft Teams, and telephone inquiries
The successful candidate for this position must possess :
Advanced knowledge of Excel and data management skills
A high level of integrity, accuracy, and self-management
The ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing
The ability to work independently and within a team environment, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a genuine appreciation for working with different audiences
Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications :
Associate Degree 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Accepted Required Certifications : None

Salary & Benefits :
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $42,100.00 - $61,000.00. Salary Structure - Information on Penn State's salary structure.
